Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the developer of Journey Map: Photo Travel Video (the "App", Korean name 여정 지도) processes and how, when you use the App. By installing or using the App you agree to this policy.

1. Photo library access (on-device processing)

The App's core feature is turning the journeys recorded in your photo library into a map video. To do so it requests access to your photo library and processes it as follows.

• Only the location (GPS coordinates) and capture time (EXIF metadata) embedded in photo files are read. If you enable photo pop-ups in the video, a thumbnail of the relevant photo is drawn on-device for that effect only.
• The information read is cached solely in the App's local storage for journey calculation and video rendering, and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
• Original photos, location data and generated videos are never transmitted to any external server, including the developer's. The developer has no means of viewing this data.
• Frequently visited places such as your home are blurred by default so that precise coordinates do not appear in the video.
• A generated video is saved to your device gallery only when you choose to save it. Whether and with whom you share it is entirely your decision.

2. Information collected when you send feedback (exception)

Only when you actively send feedback through the in-app "Send feedback" feature is the following information transmitted to the developer's server.

• The content you write (your message and, optionally, a reply email address you enter)
• Device information for troubleshooting: App version, OS version, device model and language setting

This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and improve the App, and is deleted within one year of fulfilling that purpose. Feedback never includes photos or location data.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

To keep the App free, it displays ads served by Google AdMob. While serving ads, Google may collect and process your Advertising ID, IP address and device information. The developer only integrates the advertising SDK and does not collect or store this information directly.

• You can limit personalized ads in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads) by resetting your Advertising ID or opting out of ad personalization.
• In the EU/EEA, the UK and other applicable regions, a consent screen is shown before ads are displayed.

4. Payments (Google Play Billing)

The App offers a one-time Pro lifetime purchase that removes ads and unlocks additional features, sold through Google Play in-app billing. Payments are processed by Google Play; the developer never receives your card number or other payment details. To restore purchases, the purchase token and order information issued by Google Play are processed on your device and Google's servers.

5. Analytics (Firebase Analytics)

We use Google Firebase Analytics to improve stability and usability. It collects anonymized usage statistics such as screen views, feature usage and app errors, together with device information (model, OS version, language, country-level region). Photo content, location coordinates and generated videos are never included in analytics events.

6. Map tiles (OpenFreeMap)

The map background uses tiles provided by OpenFreeMap. When the App requests tile images to draw the map, your device's IP address and the requested map area (zoom level and tile coordinates) are sent to the tile server. This is the same information involved in any ordinary web request; the precise coordinates of your photos and the photos themselves are not transmitted.

7. Information we do not collect

• Account details such as name, email (unless you type one into feedback) or phone number. The App has no sign-up or login.
• Real-time location. The App does not request device location (GPS) permission; it only reads locations already stored in your photos.
• Contacts, call logs, microphone or live camera data.

9. Data retention and deletion

• Data the App caches on your device (location and time metadata, computed journeys, settings) is deleted immediately when you uninstall the App. You can also clear it via "Reset data" in the App settings.
• Videos you saved to your gallery are deleted directly from your gallery.
• To delete feedback you have sent, email us at the address below. We delete it within 10 days of verifying the request.
• Information processed by advertising and analytics SDKs is governed by each provider's policy and your device settings (such as resetting your Advertising ID).

10. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age defined by the laws of your country) and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

11. International transfers

Third-party services (Google, OpenFreeMap) may operate servers outside your country, and the information listed in section 8 may be processed there. Feedback sent to the developer's server is retained only for handling your inquiry.

12. Changes to this policy

Any changes will be posted on this page, and material changes will also be announced in the App. The latest version is always available here.
